As the season changes the leaves change. Fall lends itself to beautiful hues of oranges, browns, gold and rusts.
Some popular flowers in the fall months are:
- Beautiful brown and cream roses such as leonides and coffee break
- Orange roses such as high and magic, miracle and orange sunset
- Antique hydrangea: beautiful green with spectrums of purple and burgundy.
- Berries in varying shades of brown and green. An example is Hypericum.
- Very, very popular today is craspedia also known as (Billyballs)
- Orange, dark purple, red mini calla lily
- Bronze football mums are a nice varying shades of brown and cream
- Not to forget the ever popular sun flowers. They are available year round.
Brides:
- Often use pumpkins and gourds for decorations. often mixing the orange with the white.
- Amanda always says the best money you can spend on the ceremony setting is lining the aisle with a beautiful array of fall shades of rose petals (if the venue allows it).
- Local field mums can be used to decorate the aisle and around the reception
- This is a great time to use that ever popular lantern on the tables adorned with fresh flowers. (the days are growing shorter and illumination at dusk from the lanterns is very romantic)
- Also, votive candles provide a warm and inviting environment.
- Popular colors for fall dresses are deep browns, burgundies, eggplant
- Warm rich colors for table linens provide a way to make the reception unique and memorable. Chocolate brown, terracotta, dark ivory are popular this season.
